Understanding RMI membership contributions

Membership dues are determined based on annual revenues, ensuring a fair and inclusive structure. The annual fee paid by our active members directly supports RMI’s mission and core programs.

Membership fees make up most of our budget, and the chart below shows how these funds are used:

Transparency and Integrity

RMI is not a certification body. Membership should never be represented as an endorsement of good practices but as a commitment to collective action and improvement toward a responsible mica supply chain.

While RMI provides tools, guidance, and support, including traceability and audit-readiness assistance, companies remain fully accountable for their own due diligence, supplier assessments, and compliance requirements.

Benefits of membership

  • Work alongside companies, NGOs, and civil society actors across the mica supply chain to co-develop concrete solutions and best practices for responsible sourcing.

Rather, it signifies your organization’s active participation and commitment to advancing responsible mica sourcing practices and to continuously improving conditions across the supply chain.
